Autism--an alarming epidemic affecting millions of children who become adults living with autism as well. As more children receive modern medical diagnoses, that number becomes more frequently, like 1 in 50. Some estimates have it at one child in 30, others at about one in 58. which is almost one per class! Is it an increasing problem or is diagnosis just getting better on a longer standing problem? That is an obvious question. Many will need help throughout their lives--especially if they don't get help as soon as they're diagnosed in preschool!
